ASLFC has been around in one form or another since the 1980's. It was originally an organization that helped plan and implement professional development for FCPS librarians. With the creation of the LIS team in central office, the organization transitioned to an advocacy role which continues today. We are associated with VAASL and work closely with them on advocacy issues.
